How to Dress?

How to dress on the first date? As a rule of thumb, you should dress yourself in accordance to the situation. So, if you have your first date at the baseball club do not come in a silk suite and if you go to the ballet avoid coming in sport clothing. Sportive clothing and elegant dressing can be well combined, though. If you are not into fashion, well you can still get in a good fashion store to get some advice on how to dress for your first date. Do not be shy; people there will help you out!

However, there some absolute DON `T for your first date (and actually these are to be considered NO GO’s anyhow): never ever wear colorful Hawaiian shirts, Bermuda shorts and the like. Decent clothing is important on a first date. You can avoid sweat stains easily by using your deodorant and sweat-wear inconspicuous clothing.

A good shave is important. Whiskers are a NO-GO! And concerning the after-shave remember that less is more! Women like well-groomed men, yet the ultra-metro-sexual man is not what most women are looking for. Nevertheless, it should be enough to draw some attention. Leave a good impression at the first date!

This having said, please remember the honesty rule: you should not deny your personality with some sort of masquerade just because some guide (even this one!) told you so. You still have to be yourself and give a realistic, though good impression on how you are. After all, you are about to lay the foundations for a new relationship, aren’t you?
